Lets Go!

Once we finish picking up all members of the tour, we’ll jump aboard our own private vehicle and depart for the mighty Mekong River! This journey will take around 2 hours and 15 minutes. During the trip, you’ll learn about the amazing local lifestyle in the biggest delta in Vietnam. You’ll also gaze at the spectacular surrounding scenery as we drive through the wonderfully fertile region. Take the chance to glimpse at the local way of life as we pass through one of the country’s agricultural hotspots.

Discover Cai Be & Local Vietnamese Culture

Around 9:45am we will arrive at Cai Be Pier where we’ll board our private sampan (a traditional, motorised boat) to begin our unforgettable cruise along the Mekong River. First we’ll experience a small traditional floating market. This is an unmissable chance to get an insight into trading away from tourist focused markets of the city. Our experienced guides will help you find a perfect cup of authentic Vietnamese coffee and pick out some delicious tropical fruit from the floating shops. Expect to be dazzled by an array of colours, smells and sounds. Keep your camera to hand to snap some beautiful shots!

Rowing Sampan & Guided Bike Ride

After the floating market, we’ll change to the rowing boats and go into the smaller, secluded canals of the delta. Here we can get up close and be a part of the daily life of local people and farmers.

Next up we get back on dry land of the Tan Phong island. After a quick stop-off at a tasty fruit orchard, we will experience the enchanting music of South-West Vietnam as we enjoy a local performance. We’ll also take a guided bicycle tour of this marvellous island. Along the way we will visit local families and learn how they use the land to craft everything from delicate rice paperto the sturdy roofs of their homes. The families will treat us to Mekong delicacies for lunchwhich include freshly made spring rolls, fried pumpkin flower and beautiful braised pork soaked in coconut juice

After our special Mekong lunch, we’ll transfer back to our boat to see the handicraft of local merchants preparing coconut candy and pop-rice. Finally our last stop before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City is at the Cao Dai temple where we’ll learn the history of an ancient native religionall while being surrounded by the incredible art of the temple.
