Mekong Delta Day Cruise is a full-day guided boat trip that’s great for travellers looking to explore a more traditional part of Ho Chi Minh City. Locally known as The River of the Nine Dragons, the 15,000 square-metre delta is home to several riverside villages, verdant forests, swamps, and rice plantations.

Stopping at various points of interest along the way, this tour starts with a scenic trip to a prominent village (most tours stop at Ben Tre, My Tho, or Cai Be) that’s about two hours away from the city. Upon arrival, a wooden boat takes visitors on a leisurely cruise along the lush canals of Mekong River, passing by a number of floating markets, fish farms, Buddhist temples, and colonial structures.

Stop At: Ben Tre, Ben Tre, Ben Tre Province, Mekong Delta

Admire the seasonally picturesque rice fields, wander into the small villages to visit the orchards and fruit plantation and witness the daily activities on the river of the locals in Mekong Delta.
Pick you up at 8:00 and depart from Ho Chi Minh City and drive to My Tho via Trung Luong Express Highway. On arrival, go aboard and cruise on the Mekong River. Overlook floating houses where fishes are farmed beneath the house. Visit Thoi Son Island (Unicorn Island). You will be taken through the maze of small canals to rural villages, explore a coconut – candy workshop, a honey – bee farm and orchard gardens. Be treated with local fresh fruit and honey tea while enjoying the live performance of the traditional folk music artists.
After lunch, bicycle ride on back roads in a small village along the Mekong Canals. Then, visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda. The architecture of Vinh Trang Pagoda is heavenly bliss – a harmonious combination of Asian and European architectural mastery. Enjoy the gardens around the Pagoda with ornamental trees, ancient trees and bonsai which create a peaceful atmosphere.
Drive back to Saigon then transfer to your home around 6:00 pm.
