It showcases intricately carved statues and friezes of dragons, tigers and phoenixes. Built sometime around the 18th century, Phu Chau Mieu was left to fall into disrepair after 1975, and it wasn't until the early 1990s that the restoration efforts began. Then the boat reaches Binh Quoi Village where numerous thatched cottages in the Northern countryside are found.
