In the afternoon you're picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transferred to the pier for your 2-hour boat tour. Board a steel vessel with a luxury wooden interior and meander along the Saigon River on a route that takes you upriver to Thanh Da Island.
See one of Saigon's wealthiest neighborhoods with large riverfront villas and upscale apartments. On the other side of Thanh Da, you'll find a rural area filled with rice paddies, swamps, and palm trees lining the river. After about an hour you'll cut through the Thanh Da canal and head downstream to the city center.
Along the way, you’re served beer, wine, and soft drinks to accompany snacks. Note the rapidly developing urban areas and impressive skyline along with historic structures such as the Dragon Wharf, Majestic Hotel, Customs House, and Rainbow Bridge.
