Sapa is a small, mountain town in Lao Cai Province. It is located about 350 km northwest of Hanoi, close to the Chinese border. Here's where you'll find the Hoang Lien Son range of mountains, which includes Fan Si Pan - the country's highest peak. This quiet Vietnamese town is home to different ethnic tribal groups. There are five main ethnic groups in Sapa: the Hmong, Dao, Tay, Giay and Xa Pho. It is said that Sapa was first occupied by the first four groups, since the Vietnamese from the lowlands (better known as the Kinh) did not colonise the highest valleys.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi - Sapa town: Trekking Cat Cat village and overnight at Hotel in Sapa

Stop At: Cat Cat village, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
6.30 - 7.00 Bus and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel/ place in Hanoi Old Quarter for depart to Sapa by highway Noi Bai - Lao Cai.

On the way, you will enjoy by the beauty of northwest mountains, terraced fields are sparkling in sunlight or dim in thick fog. Stop and have a rest in 30 minutes.

13.00: Arrived in Sapa, check in hotel and have lunch at local restaurant in Sapa town.

After lunch: You start trekking to Cat Cat village which is occupied by the Black H’mong tribe. Here, you can see the hydroelectric power station which was built by the French in twentieth century. You will experience the tribal way of life of ethnic minorities while enjoying wonderful views of the terraced rice paddy fields and the waterfall in Cat Cat village.

Evening time: After dinner, you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping.

Day 2: Sapa trekking Lao Chai - Ta Van Village - Hanoi

Stop At: Ta Van Village, Sapa 330000 Vietnam
After breakfast, Tour guide pick you up and trekking to Lao Chai - Ta Van Village to understand more about ethnic minority communitie, enjoy imposing mountain scenery, terraced fields, marvellous nature. Visit ancient sacred stones with big - small ones which have many unique images, secret sigh. See bridge which made by rattan like Muong Hoa stream.

Noon time : You will have lunch and free time to relax.

16.00 It‘s time to say “Good bye Sa Pa!” get on bus and drive back to Hanoi.

Along the way transfer, once again you have a chance to enjoy the magical beauty of northwest mountains. On the way back to Hanoi, you will be have short breaks this time for who can have snack ( your own ) or take rest about 30 minute and then continue the journey to Hanoi.

21:00 - 21.30: We arrive in Ha Noi. End the Sapa 2days 1night trip - see you next time!
