It's the agricultural heart of southern Vietnam. And it's also one of the most important fishing regions in all of Vietnam. Being a world afloat, Mekong Delta is a water world where boats, houses and markets float upon the numerous rivers, canals and streams that traverse the landscape like channels. The Mekong delta province, Can Tho, is best known for its endless green rice fields and abundant orchards. The beautiful scenery is ornamented by thousands of storks spreading their wings against the sunset sky in Bang Lang garden. Taking a 2-day trip to the Mekong Delta is something you should definitely consider once deciding to have an enough search on this land.

Itinerary

Day 1: CaiBe – Vinh Long- Bang Lang Stork Garden-Can Tho (B/L..)

Stop At: Cai Be Floating Market, Cai Be Vietnam
At 6:30, We take a 1,5-hour bus to My Tho. Breakfast is included. Make a quick stop at Kimmy Chocolate, Southern’s largest handcrafted chocolate manufacturer, in Tien Giang. Upon arriving in Cai Be, you will learn about how the Delta is the agricultural heart of southern Vietnam, one of the most important fishing regions in all of Vietnam, and more importantly, you will know how life on the boat is. Next, you will land on the local village to see how local people make some traditional products like Pop rice cake, rice wine, rice paper, sticky, toffee-like coconut candy. Heading back to the water to cross a large river to a beautiful island then we will take a skinny sampan boat through fruit orchards and mangroves, water coconut leaves. You will be led to a local orchard garden to enjoy some tropical season fruits, listening to traditional folk songs. Crossing over a Monkey Bridge, visit a bee farm and have a taste of honey tea, honey wine. It’s just how things are here, in a place where tourism is swiftly becoming an important industry of its own. Lunch is served at a local leaf-roof restaurant nearby where they will bring you out delicious fresh spring rolls, whole grilled fish, curries, rice, fresh fruit, and more. You will then take a rest or take KAYAK for a while or ride a Bike Cycle around the village. We shall then leave Cai Be for Bang Lang stork garden, in Thot Not district, 60 kilometers from Can Tho city, one of the biggest bird sanctuaries in Mekong delta. Bang Lang stork garden has become an attractive eco-tourism site in Can Tho City. Thousands of birds on the bamboo tree could be seen from 16:00 to 16:30 pm as the birds return home. From here, the van shall take 01 hours to your hotel/(Home-stay Optional) checking in. Free time to explore Can Tho at night

Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B/L..)

Stop At: Cai Rang Floating Market, 46 Hai Ba Trung Near Cai Rang Bridge, Can Tho 900000 Vietnam
After breakfast, we shall pick you up at 06:30 for an early floating market trip. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Cai Rang floating market, the largest floating market on Mekong River. you’ll have a chance to board a merchant boat. our boat goes on to reach a noodle and a rice paper factory and another 10-minute boat ride shall take you to a fruit orchard where we will have 30 minutes of biking around the countryside. Tropical fruits and tea, together with the fishing activity shall be the next part to recharge after the biking time. 11:00 back Ho Chi Minh, we will have lunch at the biggest beautiful restaurant in Mekong Delta.
